This is the "launching off" page that your students will use to complete activities, download documents, access links, complete assessments, etc.
Brief overview of the project: You will be watching two videos to get started on this project. Then you will be doing your own research on the planet you are most interested in and become an expert on that planet. After researching and gathering information you will create a power point presentation in order to "teach" the rest of the class.
Students, please follow each step in the order as follows.
1. Watch this video about the objects in our solar system:
Before thinking about the planet you would be most interested in becoming an expert on, remember Pluto is no longer considered a planet.
2. Watch this video and it will explain more details about why that decision was made.
You will need to gather information about the planet you have chosen to become an expert on. In order to gather your facts you will need to do research.
4. Go to this Google doc link. Print off the check list I have created to help you stay on track, while taking notes.
6. You now need to create a power point with all your facts. Remember to include pictures!!
Presentations start in two weeks! The sign up sheet will be passed around next week.
(If you don't remember our lesson on creating a power point, watch this quick tutorial on the basics of a power point.)
7. Last (when you are done with your power point) I want you to reflect on this project. Go to the blog spot link below and post a blog. Directions are on the blog page.
